Our Approach
Here at First Pathways Education, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, confident, and understood. We recognise that the primary years are a formative stage, laying the foundations not only for future academic success, but also for long-term independence, resilience, and self-belief.
We exclusively specialise in supporting children aged 5–11 through calm, encouraging, and carefully personalised teaching rooted in age-appropriate pedagogy. Alongside our specialist mathematics provision, we proudly support families choosing alternative educational pathways, including home education, by providing structure, consistency, and expert guidance tailored to each child's needs.
Through specialist primary maths teaching, consistent routines, and carefully selected physical learning resources, we create an engaging and reassuring environment where children strengthen their understanding, develop confidence, and grow into capable, independent learners.

Hello!
I’m Sam, founder of First Pathways Education.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher (QTS with PGCE) based in the Trafford area, with a background in Mathematics (BSc Hons). Having taught in both state and independent schools, I have experience working with a wide range of learners across the primary age range.
My specialist focus is Primary Mathematics, where I am dedicated to developing strong foundations, deep conceptual understanding, and long-term confidence through structured, age-appropriate teaching. Alongside this, I am proud to support families choosing alternative educational pathways, including home education, by providing structure, consistency, and expert mathematical guidance tailored to each individual child.
Safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to my practice. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (available for inspection upon request) and undertake regular safeguarding training, ensuring every child learns within a safe, supportive, and professional environment.
